Photo Challenge- Day 5- Something You Wore

It is January in Tucson and today was one of the most lovely days I've had in awhile. Generally I'm more partial to overcasts and sweater weather (I AM only happy when it rains) but today we Tucsonans got a balmy 75 degree day with perfect skies and I adored it. Jack and I walked around our Main Gate Square all day, lunched on pizza, went to a candy store, fed chickadees pita bread and just lingered.

(I need smiling lessons ASAP)

Ricotta, chicken and jalapeno pizza and a cold glass of hard cider= one happy lunch.

I wore a dress from Buffalo Exchange, a boater's hat from Target, shoes from Urban Outfitters and locket I thrifted years ago and wear pretty regularly. But I wore something I didn't pull out of my closet...

Contentment. Happiness. I haven't been as content and happy as I was today in a long time.

What I Wore

1. My camera sucks. Some days it decides to put out a nice clear picture and other times it looks like the photographer had too much caffeine. Today I got the latter but I was determined to get a post done today in some way, shape or form.
2. I'm not really as bitchy as I appear in pictures. But I am PMSing so I guess it's a moot point.
3. Outfit Details-
Dress & Belt- Buffalo Exchange
Shoes- Jeffrey Campbell
Hat- Gift from a friend
Camera- The Bowels of Hell

What I Wore

Please pardon the makeup-lessness. I've pretty much given up on it altogether it seems. Our temps have officially reached the hundreds, I get up at 4:45 am five days a week, sit in a class for 8.5 hours, commute on the city bus for an hour and a half, make dinner/get Jack's night routine going, tidy up, prepare for the next day and pass out. Needless to say, this blog has taken a hit in the content department. I have about four posts in queue; some half done, some near abandoned having turned into something else entirely. There is a constant nag in my head telling me to write. And yet the clock remains the king, and one I despise.

I just have to learn how to outsmart it.

Outfit Details-
Dress- Billabong via Ross (it shifted a little bit which makes it look a little lopsided in the pic)
Sandals- Urban Outfitters from a few years ago (these guys are on their last leg)
Hat- Gift from a friend and best remedy for the humidity's effect on my hair.
Bangles- India, gifted

What I Wore

Yesterday was pretty insane. I had to be up at 5 am for work and got home around 5 pm. If I wasn't tired enough I had to get Jack through the nighttime routine and off to bed. It was also yesterday that I realized it was about that time of month again (or every other month)- Black Cherry Burlesque was having a show! My friend Colleen and I go to every one to support our friends and make friendly with a couple cocktails. The Surly Wench Pub is one of my favorite bars/venues in Tucson. The women that own it have gone through great lengths to make it comfortable for it's patrons by keeping assholes out and good food, service and amazing burlesque shows in. Ever go to a bar and get aggravated or even harassed by a drunken moron? That has NEVER happened to me there. I plan on adding it to a feature I've been meaning to do forever of my favorite places in Tucson. Soon. Soon. Soon. Anyway, here's what I wore-

Skirt/shoes/bangle- Buffalo Exchange
Shirt- Target
